Sound view
The Sound view is where you select, combine, and directly reshape material.
The blob
The canvas represents frequency on the horizontal axis, time on the vertical axis, and energy as height. Choose a tool and drag directly across the sound.
The canvas context menu lets you copy or save the current blob mix, clear it, and make Visco follow the most recently triggered sound.
Toolbox
- Hand moves material in the chosen direction.
- Magnet attracts material towards the pointer.
- Eraser pushes material away.
- Mirror reverses the frequency or time range.
- Undo / redo moves through the edit history.
Drag outside the grid, along its lower or right edge, to affect the complete time or frequency range.
Kit and Tonal modes
Kit Mode provides eight tracks with up to two sources each. Pads are mapped chromatically from C through G in every octave and provide mute and solo controls.
Tonal Mode turns the analyzed material into a pitched instrument. Its controls cover oscillator shape, harmonic stretch, unison, glide, key tracking, legato, sustain position, detuning, and pitch-bend range.
Sounds and sources
Slot A is the default source; Slot B adds a second source for morphing. The crossfader chooses both the audible blend and which layer the individual controls affect.
Drag WAV, AIFF, or FLAC files into Visco from your computer or host. User sounds can be renamed and organized from the sound selector’s Show Folder command.
